Not creating HWIDS.txt Win7 64
I am using QuarQ's R149Q (love your work by the way)
I built a folder using the R145Q base and overwriting it with R149Q
I loaded the drp folder with driver packs and indexed them.
I made the autorun.inf file and burnt to a DVD ...
It works well in Windows XP but when I try run it in **Windows 7 64bit **the disk spins up and comes up with a message **" Failed to generate and read a tempory file " **
I open my **Local/Temp **directory and have folders drp and drpLog
In the drp folder I have 2 files ... cpu.txt (looks to be ok) and **HWIDS.txt **which is **0 bytes **and blank.
I hope you can help me and I would like to thank all involved in making such an excellent program.
archive corrupted, download again!
I have done as you have said and downloaded both bases 145/149 and have combined them.
Thank you very much as it now works well and writes the HWIDS.txt in Win7 64.
I did make a small edit to the tools/start.cmd because I am running from the autorun.inf I changed it from
start mshta.exe "%CD%\autorun.hta"to start mshta.exe "%CD%\autorunQ.hta"
I do find now that it starts in "expert mode" ?? Does it need to do that or can you give me a small edit to allow it to start in normal mode?
Thank you again I do appreciate your help.
"Normal mode" is the default mode. However this setting is being saved to the registry so it can be restored after you run the program again.
In other words, the program will always start in the "Normal mode" on a new computer.
OK ... I understand now ....
It is running very well now and I am very happy.
Thank you so much.
